How we handle
your data.
This site uses no cookies and loads its resources from our own domain. To understand how it is used, we run an analytics tool on our infrastructure: it does not collect your name or email address or follow you across other sites. Here we explain what data we process when you browse or write to us.

Who the controller is
Zeus Software S.r.l., registered office in Via Chiesa 61, 30039 Stra (VE), VAT no. 04368610277. For any question about this notice or your data, write to info@zeus-software.it.
Browsing data
Like every web server, ours writes each request it receives to a log file: IP address, date and time, requested page, response status, referring page and browser type.
We use them only to run the site, protect it from abuse and investigate errors. We do not use them for marketing statistics or to profile you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security and operation of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Logs are rotated daily and deleted automatically after at most 15 days.
Visit statistics
To understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how long they stay, we use Umami, an open-source analytics tool installed on our infrastructure hosted by AWS.
For each visit we record the page with its title and any campaign parameters in its address, the referring page, the browser, operating system and device type, the screen resolution, the language, the country, the region and the city. We also measure the time until the page is first hidden, whether the footer becomes visible and whether you click an email address, without recording the content of any messages. Umami uses your IP address and other technical information to determine geographic location and generate identifiers that distinguish visits and sessions, without keeping the IP address in its database. The web server does record it in the logs described above.
These statistics use no cookies, save no data in browser storage and are not used to create advertising profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). An automated monthly process deletes data older than 24 months, so data may be kept for up to 25 months.
Emails you send us
If you write to us, we process the data you provide: your name, email address and message content. To assess a project or prepare a proposal at your request, the legal basis is pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To answer general enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in handling incoming communications (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). To handle requests concerning your privacy rights, it is compliance with our obligations under the GDPR (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Providing your data is optional. To reply, we need contact details and enough information to understand your request; without this data, we may be unable to handle it.
We keep the correspondence for as long as it takes to handle your request. If a contract follows, the data is kept for the periods required by law for contractual and tax records.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies. It saves your choice made with the IT/EN switcher in browser storage, under the zeus.lang localStorage key, to prevent automatic redirects based on your browser language after you have made an explicit choice. This value is not sent to the server and has no automatic expiry; you can delete it at any time from your browser settings.
Fonts are served from our own server: no request goes to external services while you browse.
Who processes data on our behalf
The site is hosted by Amazon Web Services on servers in the Milan region (eu-south-1). Email is handled by Aruba S.p.A., in Italy. Both act as data processors and handle the data only to provide their service to us. The data stays in the European Economic Area and is not transferred outside it.
We do not sell your data or disclose it to third parties for advertising purposes.
Your rights
Where the GDPR provides for these rights, you can ask us to access, correct or erase your data, restrict its processing or receive it in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest on grounds relating to your particular situation. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing. Write to info@zeus-software.it: we respond without undue delay and within one month of receipt. If the complexity or number of requests requires an extension, we will inform you within that month and explain why; the extension may be up to two further months.
If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority in your own EU country.
